Feel Good Friday – What Happened When Some Hutterites were Born Again

John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Here is the true story of a group of Hutterites in Montana who began to search for satisfaction outside of the traditions of their works based religion.  What God showed them was that eternal life in the Lord Jesus Christ was the only satisfaction worth having.  This is what the Lord Jesus came for, and why He died and rose again – to give life and to give it more abundantly!

Please notice how the traditional Hutterites who were not born again leaned heavily upon their traditions, their own ill-informed ideas and even superstitious ideas of what would happen to those who left.  Matthew 15:8-9  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

1 Peter 1:18-21  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

[Sadly, the whole documentary is not here, but it’s enough.  It appears to cut off just before the ending.]
