Double Sew Happy Friday- Making Greeting Cards with Fabric Scraps

I pre-scheduled the previous post today and then remembered this morning that I’d wanted to put up something that you all could use for Mother’s Day.  In working on blog posts today I found these two tutorials for using fabric scraps to make greeting cards.  I thought I’d have a “double feature” today and just go ahead and post these as well.  There’s still time to make a few cards for some special ladies you want to remember on Mother’s Day. :-)

These cards are great for just about any occasion, though, so be creative!

The first tutorial takes larger scraps, but it’s fast and easy and you could add other decorations as you wish – lace, rick rack, buttons, bias tape, etc.  If you don’t have spray adhesive try a glue stick.

This second tutorial is supposed to be Valentine cards, but they can easily be used for any holiday or event.  It’s a great way to use up scraps from an iron-on project.  If you don’t have scraps, you will need something like Wonder Under or Pellon that has iron-on glue on both sides.
