I love Bonsai, I find them amazing. We have a collection at the National Arboretum here in Canberra. I bought my son Tristan one for Christmas and he tells me it is still going strong.
ReplyDeleteMy brother, Dan, was interested in learning bonsai at one point, but he didn't end up doing it. They are interesting. I like the flowering ones especially. :-)

DeleteBonsai are also pretty valuable if they are older ones. The man who tended these and secured them for the evening and night told us that they had had some stolen and that they were quite valuable! That was why they shut the display early. We were glad to get there in time to see them.
I've always wanted a bonsai tree...but I'm not very good with plants. Still, this makes me want to see if my thumb has become any greener over the years
ReplyDeleteI have a green thumb for some things. Other things I "successfully" kill every time I try them these days - such as African violets and lavender. I don't think I'd want to be responsible for a bonsai, even though they are so interesting! :-)
