Evening Song - He Didn't Turn Away

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

  1. The Matthew 11 passage is my hubby's favorite; I was just reading Galatians 6:2 as I'm preparing to teach the lesson tomorrow of the Good Samaritan and I will be focusing on how we are to NOT focus so much on ourselves but rather on others so that we can SEE when they are burdened and need help and then we are AVAILABLE, even if it means we are inconvenienced, to help. Beautiful post!

    1. Lauren, that is a good lesson. It also goes well with the post I put up on Sunday - "Of Teeth and Judging." :-) I'm glad this song was a blessing to you. It has moved me since the first time I heard it.

  2. What a beautiful song! So very moving and so, so true, thank you, dear Jesus! I am so thankful He didn't turn away from my sin and the shame I have brought to Him. I hope all is well with you, sweet friend. God bless you.

I am doing reasonably well at the moment, thanks. Hope all is as well as possible there. The Lord keep you and give you peace.
