Tennessee Memories - Thinking of Chrysanthemums and Late Bloomers

People sometimes speak of "late bloomers" as if they were slow and missed many a great opportunity. But consider the chrysanthemum: It is one of the most spectacular flowers in the garden or the florist shop, which by nature blooms at the end of the season. Don't be afraid to do your best work after others have already finished theirs, when the day or the year or the life is drawing to its close, or on a later schedule than what others expected. Many beautiful things happen and are done and bloom at the last. Don't quit and don't give up.

Luke 13:28-30 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
