Taken at various times in our old neighborhood in East Tennessee.

  1. Beautiful photos!! Oh how I wish things would start to bud and bloom where I am!! I was noticing the light in your photos and how the yellow or blueish tints to the light can make the pictures almost "feel" like a warm spring day or a cool evening. :)

    1. Thank you! Hopefully spring will start where you are soon. Northern springs are sometimes long in coming. Even down here in Central Texas we can get frost in April. When we lived in Tennessee, where these photos were taken, we usually had several late freezes or frosts. The one year we didn't have any was the most fabulous spring I've ever seen because nothing got frozen off, everything bloomed! :-)

Lighting really does give a "feel" to photos, doesn't it? I would guess that white flowers would accentuate that.

  2. So pretty! I especially like the last one - do you know what flowers those are?

  4. Hello, Mary! I love your beautiful pictures! :-) We have the same tree/bush that is in your second picture. One time I looked it up to see what it was, but I forget now what it is. Do you know what it is?
I'm looking forward to all the pretty flowers of spring. I can see the yellow in my daffodils, but they haven't opened up yet.
Hope you're doing well! Take care.♥

    1. Hello! Thank you. I believe that bush to be a kind of hydrangea, but I'm not 100% sure.
We have bluebonnets blooming in our yard here now and also my oxalis (wood-sorrel) and irises. I'm very thankful for warmer, sunnier weather, but it gets warm so fast in Texas! :-P We've actually run the AC already! (Partly this is due to allergies, though.)
Had a misadventure with my back this week, but it seems to be on the mend now, thank the Lord. :-) Hope you have a blessed Lord's day!

    2. You know, Mary, the first thing that popped into my mind this morning when I woke up was viburnum! So I went and looked it up and sure enough that's the name of the bush! That is weird! I was trying to remember last night. I guess I had to sleep on it. haha
Yes, we're behind here in Virginia. I haven't had any of my bushes or flowers bloom yet, but they're getting there. :-)
So sorry about your back! I hope it'll be back to normal very soon. I'm noticing more creaks and aches as I get older, not to mention the gray hair and wrinkles, but such is the nature of life. As my mom says, "It's better than the alternative." I'm thankful for life. :-)
Hope you have a blessed Lord's day as well.

    3. Oh, ok. Viburnum. I think I've heard of that before.
My back is doing better today over all, but my allergies are horrible, so I have to careful not to throw it out again! Yep, the reminders of my real age continue to increase, even though my head tells me it can't be true! :-)
We stayed home today because of my health struggles, but it was a good day, even though it would have been better if we could have gone to church fellowship.
