Hello and welcome!

This blog is a place for me to share thoughts, recipes, things I learn from my Bible, links and anything else I happen to want to post. It is in essence an extension of The Home Maker's Corner. I hope you enjoy it!

How to Make Half Rectangle Triangles for Quilting

This tutorial at the Modern Quilt Guild web page shows how to make a Half Rectangle Triangle.  (Actually, you’ll be making two at a time.)  These are different shapes from what quilters do a lot of the time, but this tutorial makes it easy and gives very clear instructions.  They can be used for a variety of patterns, and mixed with other pieces for even more combinations.  I really appreciate the simplified methods that modern quilting has developed, both for modern quilts and to make familiar patterns easier.
