These were growing in the garden of a very special lady. She had the biggest private garden that I have ever been in and the most amazing "green thumb" of anyone I've met. It was absolutely stunning. We went to the same church for awhile and she invited me over to take pictures when she learned I enjoyed photography. It was a very special day and she sent us home with a number of plant starts as well!
I hope your weekend is a blessing too! We are expecting my in-laws, so hopefully it will be a really good visit. :-)
Lovely! They are often known as Granny's Bonnets here.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's a cute name. :-) I like the "common names" for flowers.
DeleteAbsolutely stunning, my friend! Columbines are our state flower and I never tire of seeing them.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the upcoming weekend. Hugs!
Thank you. :-) I am very partial to them myself.
