The Thousand Word Project - Red is the Rose
Red is the rose that in yonder garden grows, Fair is the lily of the valley, Clear is the water that flows from the Boyne, But my love is fairer than any.
- Traditional Irish ballad - In memory of my Irish great-grandmother.
My understanding was that the poem was written some time back and then some music group put it to music in the '70s or '80s maybe. I don't know if they copyrighted it for themselves or not. I used it for my web page, but I don't know what the legality would be of printing copies not for your personal use. If you're not selling it and just handing it to friends in small numbers I personally wouldn't be concerned about that, but that's just my opinion.
Can I print Disappointment -- His Appointment and give to people?
