I had not heard of this plant until I was in need of some new landscaping last fall. This was one of the plants I considered. I eventually went with lilacs but this is still on my list of plants I'd like to incorporate!
My Gramma had a variety of mock orange bush by the cottage where she lived. It did smell lovely in spring! :-) I would go with lilacs first too. They are one of my favorites, probably because my mom loved them.
