Hard Questions– Who Rules Over You?

 

This is an article that I wrote years ago before I got married.  I went over it again recently and am sharing it here with you today.  Please give it some thought.  An introduction from my dad precedes the actual article.

There are a good many preachers and scholars lording it over the Lord's church these days.  From the Charismatic wild men to seminary professors to pastors of "fundamental" and King James Bible believing Baptist churches. Why?  

Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

People love it.  People would rather be ruled over by men than by a holy God…

  2. Amen. I have seen this in many homes. You can tell who is running certain households (and it isn't the husband) but the latest author of the best selling book in the community or even the highly controversial ones... Thank you for sharing this on the Art of Home-Making Mondays.
